It has today been announced by Kensington Palace that Newport Cathedral’s Royal Patron, HRH The Duke of Gloucester will officially open the Cathedral’s Festival of Flowers on Thursday, November 27th.
One of the floral displays at the Cathedral’s Festival of Flowers will be dedicated to the Cathedral Appeal’s Royal Patron.
The display Ten Lords A-Leaping, part of the Twelve Days of Christmas, is to be dedicated in honour of HRH The Duke of Gloucester and his wife the Duchess.
Welcoming the news of the visit the Dean, Dr Richard Fenwick said, “The Duke of Gloucester has been a great supporter of the Cathedral Appeal, this second visit in less than two years is another example of the interest this busy person is taking in St Woolos”
