Cathedral Archives go on Display

News date published: 24th June 2007

Items from St Woolos Cathedral archives will go on display next weekend in time for the Cathedral’s hosting of the Newport City Civic Service.

To mark the approaching first anniversary of the launch of the Cathedral Appeal the Monmouth Diocesan Archives Advisor is putting on a display of documents and other material in the cathedral archive which is not normally seen in public.

“Being one of the oldest institutions in Newport you can imagine that much of the material in our archives is of great historical interest to the people of this city”, said Minor Canon Fr Mark Soady

The items will be on display for a week from Sunday, June 24th.
