Chorister Climbs Ben Nevis for Cathedral Appeal

News date published: 11th October 2007

Eleven year old Harvey Evans is doing a sponsored climb of Ben Nevis in order to raise funds towards the £2.5 million needed to restore St Woolos Cathedral.

The Ysgol Gyfun Gwynllyw pupil , accompanied by his father, will spend his half term raising money towards the restoration of the roof of the Cathedral where he is a Senior Chorister.

Appeal Coordinator, John Sexton, said ” It is wonderful that Harvey came up with this idea himself. What better proof do we need of the love there is for the cathedral from all of those who know it - what ever their age”.
