Gwynllyw's Children's donation to the Cathedral

On Friday, March 16th representatives from all 18 Church in Wales Schools in Gwent will be at the Cathedral to hand over the monies they have raised from their fundraising efforts over the recent months.

Among the fundraising ideas the children have come up with are: Sponsored Silences, Concerts and Coffee Mornings.

The Local Independent schools are also contributing to the Appeal Fund. This Term various musicians from Rougemont School, including its Headmaster are giving a Concert at the cathedral in aid of the Rescue Appeal Fund. Monmouth School for Boys will be doing likewise on Thursday, May 10th at 7.00pm.

Not to be left out pupils from the local authority schools in Newport will be making their contribution via the Mayors Gala Concert at the River front on March 22nd.
