Brian and Sarah run in Bath Half Marathon and Gift of £10,000 Shares

News date published: 15th March 2008

Cathedral Administrator Brian Cox and his daughter Sarah have been excused from the Cathedral on Palm Sunday - for a good reason.

Both will be running in the Bath Half Marathon that morning (March 16th) in aid of the Cathedral Rescue Appeal.

“Although we do not know how much they have raised in sponsorship,” said Fr Mark Soady, “it is yet another boost to our funds.

It has also been revealed that an anonymous donor has gifted her portfolio of shares to the Appeal, which depending on the state of the money markets could sell for more than £10,000 taking the Appeal total to over £355,000
