Friends Give Cheque at Church & State Lecture

The Friends of St Woolos at Cathedral will present a cheque for £5,000 to the Cathedral Appeal at their Annual Lecture on March 4th.

The Lecture which will deal with the very topical issue of relationship between Church & State by the Church of England’s former leader Bishop on Social Responsibility Lord (Richard) Harries of Pentregarth. As Bishop of Oxford Lord Harries was Bishop Dominic Walker’s boss before he moved to be Bishop of Monmouth.

The Cathedral Friends donated a cheque for £10,000 to the Appeal on the the day it was launched.
