Following a decision by the Cathedral Appeal Committee to start seeking donations from grant giving bodies, the All Churches Trust have awarded £5,000 to the Appeal.
All Churches Trust Limited is a registered charity established in 1972. Its aims are to promote the Christian religion, to contribute to the funds of any charitable institutions or associations and to carry out any charitable purpose.
Grants are considered in response to appeals in support of Churches, Church establishments, religious charities and charities preserving UK heritage.
The Trust’s money comes from profits of the Ecclesiastical Insurance Company.
Earlier Grants and donations to the appeal includes money from the Prince of Wales and Newport City Council.
This donation and the profit from the House of Lord’s Dinner take the Appeal Total to £424,000.
